Charity and philanthropy are very large parts of Tri Delta’s value system. We love giving back to the community either through our own philanthropic events or through individual community service endeavors. Tri Delta’s national philanthropy is children’s cancer research, more specifically since 1999 Tri Delta has taken on St. Jude as our national philanthropy and has raised over $10 million dollars. St. Jude Children’s Hospital is located in Memphis, Tennessee and provides the top cancer treatment and research for children at no cost to the children or their families. At a cost of approximately $1million per day to keep the hospital open, Tri Delta and her members have committed themselves to raising as much as possible for such a wonderful cause.
The Epsilon Zeta chapter does our part to raise money for St. Jude through various philanthropic events. Our annual almostGolf Tournament takes place once a year and transforms Sunken Gardens and Alumni Mall into a miniature golf course in which students and parents can play a fun and quick game of golf for a good cause. We also offer a raffle in which trips, snowboards, dinners and more are given away! Lastly, the best dressed golfer of the day wins a prize to reward them for their savvy fashion skills.
