The Epsilon Zeta chapter is the 179th Tri Delta chapter and was inducted at Loyola Marymount University in 2006. Since then the chapter has grown to over 100 members and has had 11 new member classes!
This fall our chapter completed an amazing Greek Week and placed 2nd in the Lion Bowl and Obstacle Course. It was such a great accomplishment for our chapter and we are so proud of all of our members that made it possible! This last spring we also welcomed our new member class who made wonderful additions to our chapter.
The Epsilon Zeta chapter was recognized with the Outstanding Foundation Fundraising Award and the Outstanding Chapter Recruitment Award at the Bi-Annual Tri Delta Convention. Furthermore, Epsilon Zeta chapter has been recognized by St. Jude Childrens Hospital for raising over $20,000 in two years.
Tri Delta was founded in 1888 at Boston University by four extraordinary women; Sarah Ida Shaw, Eleanor Dorcas Pond, Florence Isabelle Stewart, and Isabel Morgan Breed. Tri Delta was found in order to create an organization in which women could find themselves and could reach their full potential as individuals. As Sarah remarkd to Eleanor in 1888, "Let us found a society that shall be kind alike to all and think more of a girl's inner self and character than of her personal apperence."
Since it's founding at Boston University, Tri Delta has spread to 184 chapters nation wide including a chapter in Canada.
Tri Delta's colors are silver, gold and cerulean blue. Green is also significant for Tri Delta as it represents the union of the three colors.
